The Soaring Club was formed in 1939. In the beginning the activities consisted only of gliding with planes that was built by the club members themselves. Nowadays the club is flying only with modern gliders.

The club consists of about 75 members. Most of them is only flying for recreation, but the club is also highly active in competition flying. During the winters the club is mostly working with maintenance of the gliders.
